Washington County Tree and Sidewalk Info

We live in unincorporated Washington County Oregon.  Homeowners must follow the County and State rules as they apply. We are not part of the City of Hillsboro, Portland or Beaverton.

Arbor Ridge HOA requires that you submit an Architectural Review Form when replacing your Street Tree or Sidewalk.

Washington County Guidelines for properly maintained sidewalks

  • If the sidewalks are raised more than ¼”, they need service.
  • The property owner could be liable if someone trips and is injured on their sidewalk.
  • If the sidewalk is raised ½” or less, it can be ground down, which could be more cost effective.
  • If several property owners want to get their sidewalks fixed at once, they could possibly get a more cost-effective group rate from contractors.
  • A sidewalk grant repair program is available by applying (see below)
